Linda Bryant-Davis moved to Kentucky in 2019 after buying bell hooks’ former property in Berea. Bryant-Davis retired from journalism and immediately launched Owsley Fork Writers Sanctuary. She has since published three chapbooks, Swingset Confessional, Between Two Worlds and Ghost Dancing with Music, all published by Act of Power Press. Her first full-length collection, My Life as a Cricket, is slated for a 2027 release from Accents Publishing. After having a stroke in 2023, Bryant-Davis has become devoted to raising awareness about disabled and disadvantaged writers and artists.

Coleman Davis along with his wife and fellow poet, Linda Bryant-Davis founded Owsley Fork Writers Sanctuary in Berea, Kentucky in 2019. His writing has been published in various literary journals and anthologies. His first book of poems, Light Leaks Through, was published in 2025 by Owsley Fork Press. Listing his occupation as Resident Forest Elf, Davis spends most of his time at the Sanctuary in the woods around the buildings planting trees and understory wildflowers.
